Local Surf Life Saving Clubs
Our local surf life saving clubs help protect, educate and provide vital lifesaving services in our community. Wellington Airport have been long-time supporters of Surf Life Saving Clubs in our local Eastern Suburbs. We have supported individual clubs with equipment, sponsored a Lifeguard Support and Development programmes, and assisted the creation of the Special Needs Surfing Experience programme.
How we help
Lyall Bay Surf Life Saving Club
Lyall Bay Surf Life Saving Club, established in 1910, patrols our local Lyall Bay beach on Saturday and Sunday afternoons throughout the summer. They have a large active membership and offer a competitive training squad for Surf Sports. They are currently replacing their clubroom facilities, built in the 1950s, with a purpose built clubhouse that meets the needs of a modern club - for both lifeguarding and sports, and we have been proud to support them in this major project.

Maranui Surf Life Saving Club
Since 1911 the Maranui Life Saving Club has been actively training surf lifeguards and providing voluntary patrols at Oriental Bay and other Wellington City Beaches. We've been proud to support Maranui for many years, with sponsored equipment and gear.
