When you travel internationally from Wellington International Airport you need to complete an International Departure Card before going through passport control. All departing passengers, including children, are required to complete the card. There are penalties for not supplying information ranging from fines to imprisonment.

The information gathered from departure cards is confidential and anonymous and is used to produce immigration statistics.
Where to find departure cards
You can pick one up departure cards at check-in, from Travelex or at the entrance to the International Departures on Level 1.
