Nominate a student for the 2026 Wellington Airport Spirit Awards
Over the past 19 years Wellington Airport have recognised 97 outstanding local students who have gone above and beyond to provide service to their school and community through the Wild at Heart Spirit Awards.
We are pleased to again be celebrating the achievements of outstanding rangatahi with the 2026 Wellington Airport Spirit Awards.
One student from each of the six eligible schools will receive:
- $1000 scholarship
- A framed certificate and letter of congratulations from Wellington Airport
- Award presentation at the Wellington Airport Regional Community Awards dinner
- Acknowledgement of their achievements through our airport channels.
Nominations
- Nominations can be made through the online entry form
- Students can nominate themselves, or nominations by other students, teachers or members of the community are welcomed.
Timeline:
- Nominations open until midnight Friday 25 September 2026
- Recipients will be selected in conjunction with each college
- Award winners and nominees will be advised in late October
- Presentation at Wellington Airport Regional Community Awards Dinner on Thursday 19 November 2026.
