Airport Flyer Bus

NZ Bus resumed its Airport Flyer service on Monday 6 July. Initially, services will run on weekdays only, during ‘peak’ times while air travel volumes and passenger numbers recover following the impact of COVID-19. For details of the current service timetable visit the Airport Flyer website.

The Airport Flyer bus stop is located on the ground floor of the multi-level car park. Go out Door E on the Ground Floor (by the baggage hall) and follow signs.

Travel times

Wellington

The Airport Flyer will resume operation from Monday 6th July 2020. The service will operate a new route between Wellington Railway Station and the airport terminal, travelling through the Wellington CBD on its usual route. Services will run on weekdays only, during ‘peak’ times while air travel volumes and passenger numbers recover following the impact of COVID-19. The current timetable has been designed so passengers catching a weekday flight from 7:30am til noon and from 4:15pm to 7:00pm, will arrive 30 minutes before take-off. Passengers travelling or returning to Wellington will also be able to catch an Airport Flyer service to the CBD from 7:00am to 11:00am and from 4:00pm to 6:30pm. Download the timetable here.

Other bus services

Metlink Route 2 Karori-Wellington-Hataitai-Seatoun bus

The Metlink Route 2 bus is a regular bus service. It travels through the city to Seatoun. It will take you within 10 minutes walk of the airport. Just get off on Broadway.


Intercity bus

The InterCity bus stop is located on the ground floor of the multi-level car park. Go out Door E on the Ground Floor (by the baggage hall), turn to the left and follow the signs to the bus/coach stops.
