From Monday 3 November 2025, our car park will be going ticketless! Say goodbye to paper tickets and hello to a smoother parking experience. It’s as simple as this:

  • On entry slowly drive up to the barrier and stop in line with the parking column. A camera will read your licence plate and the barrier will open.
  • Easy ways to pay: when you are ready to leave the car park you can pay by simply typing your licence plate into one of our pay stations, or you can drive straight to an exit and pay with payWave or credit card with no extra fees.
  • Remember, much like when you arrive, when exiting please slowly drive up to the barrier and stop in line with the parking column so the camera can read your licence plate properly.

As always your first 10 minutes are free for those wanting to quickly drop off or pick up friends and family.

Common FAQs

Our ticketless parking system is designed to make your parking journey at Wellington Airport seamless! We’ve covered all bases though – from online bookings, to when things don’t quite go to plan.

What happens if I have an online booking?

On entry the camera will read your licence plate - the system will recognise your online booking and the barrier will open. On exit, if you are within your booking window, the barrier will open and you’ll be on your way!

For any issues with online bookings please press the intercom button on any parking column to speak to a parking attendant – they are onsite 24/7 to assist.

What if the barrier doesn’t open on entry?

On the rare occasion that the barrier does not open on entry this might mean the camera hasn’t read your licence plate properly as it could be damaged, obstructed or be a difficult to read personalised plate. What to do if this happens:

  • If you have an online booking, please press the intercom button to speak to one of our friendly parking attendants who will manually check you in. You don’t need a ticket.
  • No online booking? No worries, if the barrier doesn’t open on entry you can still push the button to take a ticket in these cases.

What if I need help?

There is an intercom button available on every parking column as well as on all pay stations, to speak to a parking attendant if you need further assistance at any stage of the parking journey.

Our Parking Services kiosk is located on level 1 of the multi-level car park.
