This role reports to the Head of Technology with a key focus on planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling a range of big and small projects, from initiation to closure, following project management best practices. You will also manage contractors, vendors, and communications to internal customers, ensuring that the projects are aligned with the business needs and expectations.
You will be:
- Planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling technology projects from initiation to closure, following project management best practices.
- Managing projects scope, schedule, budgets, quality, risk, issues and dependencies, and reporting on project status and performance to stakeholders.
- Coordinating and collaborating with the technology team, business units, contractors, vendors and other external parties to deliver the project objectives and deliverables.
- Managing the communication and change management activities for the project, ensuring that the project benefits and outcomes are communicated and understood by the internal customers and end users.
- Monitoring service contracts to ensure service level agreements are adhered to.
- Ensuring all on-site activities are properly authorized, controlled and completed in a timely and effective manner.
- Providing general technical/IT support where required.
About you
You have:
- Experience in managing technology projects, preferably in the aviation, construction or transport industry.
- Project management certification or working towards it.
- Experience in managing projects using agile, waterfall or hybrid methodologies and using project management tools and software.
You are:
- Effective at communicating with internal and external stakeholders and can work effectively and efficiently in a team and across the organization.
- Proactive, self-motivated and results oriented, with strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
Ideally, you have:
- Strong knowledge of technology trends, standards, and best practices, and the ability to apply them in a project context.
- The ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
As part of our standard pre-employment requirements, you must be able to obtain security clearance from Aviation Security Services, complete a Ministry of Justice background check and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and pass a drug/alcohol test.
