Fiji Airways launches new Boeing 737 MAX 8

Fiji Airways is the first airline to bring the brand new single-aisle Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft to New Zealand for its inaugural flight from Wellington to Nadi today.
The new aircraft is more fuel efficient, has sleek modern cabin interiors and new amenities including seatback inflight entertainment and Wi-Fi, leather seats, larger overhead luggage storage and reduced cabin noise. All while minimising their impact on the environment.

At only three hours away, Fiji is a perennially popular destination for Kiwi’s and demand for the direct service has grown strongly since Fiji Airways introduced its Wellington to Nadi service back in 2015.

Fiji Airways’ new Boeing 737 MAX 8’s inaugural flight departs from Wellington International Airport to Nadi today on Thursday, 20 November.
