Family facilities, special assistance and medical services
Family facilities
A family-friendly parent’s room is located in the main terminal, on level 1 along the retail street. This provides facilities for the changing and disposal of nappies, as well as toilets and a comfortable seat for feeding. Baby change tables are also provided in the international arrivals and departures area.
Special assistance
Please notify your airline of any special assistance requirements. Wheelchairs are available – ask your airline if you require one, or any special assistance. Our Airport Ambassadors and Operations Coordinators are also available to lend a hand to people who may be having difficulty moving around the terminal.
Disabled Car parking spaces are located in the main car park, in the areas closest to the terminal on both levels. Vehicles parked in these spaces must display a current disability card.
Automatic doors and lift access is available between all levels – ground, first and mezzanine. There is also a lift in the covered car park building. Our lifts are equipped with Braille keys.
For people with impaired sight, boarding calls are only made in the passenger departure lounges - not in the main terminal building.
There are wheelchair accessible toilets in the main terminal area and departure lounges. The parents room has a wheelchair accessible toilet for people who need to be accompanied by a helper of the opposite gender. The parent’s room is located in the main retail area of the terminal, next to Silvermoon.
First aid, medical & emergency services
For urgent medical attention or any other emergency please call Operations on (04) 385 5124 or pick up one of our customer assistance phones located on level 1 and level 0.
They will contact the Airport Fire Service who will respond immediately. If required, an ambulance will also be called. Please do not hesitate to let one of our staff, or an airline staff member know if you require medical assistance. The Airport Fire Service staff are trained in advanced first aid, and attend all medical emergencies.
